A list of Worst anime would generally end up being very controversial. While there are some anime that almost everyone agrees is bad, most of them depend on the eyes of the beholders. So listed below are some anime that are generally considered bad, and are either famous for being bad or are unheard of due to how bad they are.

 Starting off the list is:

1. SCHOOL DAYS

     Considered bad due to how messed up it is. This Harem, Drama, Romance and School centred anime starts off normal and continues to do so…… until the unprecedented climax. High school Makoto Itou becomes entranced by Kotonoha Katsura, but cannot approach her directly. Instead he snaps a photo of her and uses it as a wallpaper. His classmate Sekai Saionji notices this and offers to help him get together with her. The trio thus begins a rather impromptu friendship. The story is full of romance and melancholy, but the series will linger in memory of viewers long afterwards due to its extremely messed up conclusion. It has a very disturbing ending, a very sick twist that reinforces the strange creepy vibe the series gave off from the onset. In the end, this mellow anime rams viewers with how Kotonoha actually kills Sekai on a train station overpass. This is due to Makoto choosing Sekai, but at the same time not completely abandoning Kotonoha. This leads her to get obsessed with Makoto and go into a Yandere frenzy to kill Sekai.

2. VAMPIRE HOLMES

     Next up is Vampire Holmes, which is a Mystery, Comedy and Supernatural anime. This version of the great detective Holmes only hunts vampires. Along with his assistant, the two are hired by the Metropolitan Police of London to investigate occult vampires. But in reality, he and Hudson just spend most of their time sitting around arguing and failing to solve any cases. Comedy is a main highlight in this anime, but this does not fit into this anime’s themes at all, making it so out of place. This is the story of a man who is most definitely not London's greatest detective, in fact the worst version of Sherlock Holmes yet. The story is based on a mobile game, which should set off enough red flags. None of the jokes land, the animation is horrible and the character of Sherlock Holmes as well as the others are completely butchered.

 3. PUPA

     Third on the list is Pupa. Siblings Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa were abandoned by their abusive parents and only have each other to rely on. siblings The two are then led astray by beautiful red butterflies, heralds trumpeting the beginning of a cannibalistic nightmare—a mysterious virus known as Pupa hatches. They succumb to the full effects of Pupa; Yume undergoes a grotesque transformation into a monster with an insatiable desire for flesh and Utsutsu gains remarkable regenerative powers instead. Utsutsu is determined to sacrifice everything for his precious little sister. The story features his desperate struggles to save his sister while protecting the world from her uncontrollable hunger. This anime is so bizarre, disgusting and horrible that it's even difficult to explain how. The grotesque setting, with the younger sibling feeding on the elder to stay alive is a perverse turn of events. The creators couldn't craft even a halfway-decent relationship between its main cast.

4. ABUNAI SISTERS - KOKO & MIKA

     Next up is the anime with the lowest rated anime on My Anime List, ABUNAI SISTERS -KOKO & MIKA-, which is an Action, Comedy and Ecchi series. This is a Computer-animated gag shorts series about two female agents. It features every bad idea ever incorporated into anime and then combining them to bring about an overwhelmingly bad anime that is hard to even explain. Even calling it a tool for fanservice would be overstating its accomplishments….. It boasts a pointless plot, horrible characters and terrible animation.

 5. BOKU NO PICO 

     The final anime on this list is the legendary title, Boku no Pico. The story revolves around the upbeat and effeminate Pico, who is working at his grandfather's coffee shop, Café Bebe, for the summer. Tamotsu is a white-collar worker seeking an escape from his mundane life. Thus the two meet at the cafe and the sparks of love and lust instantly go off. Conventional notions of age, gender and sexuality are torn down as the pair seeks carnal gratification with each other. But do their pleasures of the flesh equate to a connection between hearts…This series features alot of Pedophilia, too much “vanilla ice cream”, unbearable moans of a little boy that can make ears bleed, molesters on the loose, which is ideal for masochistic watchers and if someone enjoys this, please seek Psychiatric Help. But it is popular among anime watchers as the ultimate test, if someone can sit through this, they are manly enough to withstand almost anything. It's amazing just how bad this anime is and is definitely worthy of its throne as the most well known “Worst Anime”.
